Do you know that the Broadway production of Wizard Of OZ is in town? No…, well guess what there is still time and you don’t want to miss it, shows are playing at the Keller Auditorium through the 13th! This heartwarming story that we have all seen takes us back to sweet familiarity. I am sure we all can remember the first time we saw the Wizard of OZ! Wouldn’t it be great to recapture that feeling all over again.
I was so excited to take my 16 year old son with me for the first time. We had a wonderful dinner before the show and had some much needed quality time, that is very hard to achieve when you have 7 kids. He had never been to a professional live production before, and this show couldn’t have been more perfect. It had just enough predictability with the story line that kept him very engaged, yet there were plenty of new songs and surprises that kept it new and interesting. Not only did he keep his cell phone home, but he didn’t even miss it!! That right there says (and means) a lot.
I personally was blown away by SARAH LASKO (Dorothy), her performance of “Over The Rainbow” will give you chills and the range that SHANI HADJIAN (Miss Gulch/ The Wicked Witch of the West) has will leave you stunned. The production is approximately 2 hours and 15 min with a 15 min intermission. There are flashes, strobes, and special effects to enhance the show. This will definitely be on my top 5 favorite shows list!
