Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA highly anticipated return to Portland’s Keller Auditorium from July 25 through August 5

Phantom Of the Opera….is a household name when it comes to Broadway shows… to most people, the show seems to have a special connection. Whether you are an opera fan, Broadway fan or love Andrew Lloyd Webber, this show seems be on everyone radar.

I personally fell in love with Phantom of the Opera, in 1995 when my soon to be husband featured the whole soundtrack of Phantom during his school senior year for his state band competition…. so we were either listening to the soundtrack, watching him practice, or listening to him hum non stop…. so needless to say I was immersed in Phantom of the Opera for a full year and holds a special part in my heart.

On Friday, I was invited to view the production…. and needless to say the show did not fall short of my expectations! I had goosebumps from beginning to end. One thing that you will shockingly notice is the extraordinary set! I have been viewing Broadways shows for a few years now and I must say, this is the most elaborate set I have seen come to the Keller. No Spoilers here… but let’s just say, the staircase and Chandelier will take your breath away. The newly reinvented staging and stunning scenic design, makes this new version of PHANTOM performed by a cast and orchestra of 52, making this one of the largest productions on tour in North America.

Quentin Oliver Lee will portray the man behind the mask, “The Phantom” you will get chills from his dark and intense voice! You will go through the whole basket of emotions with the Phantom…. love, sorrow, anger, his ability to capture these emotions is on point. And Eva Tavares as “Christine Daaé” has such a sweet and strong voice, she trained at the UBC Opera Program and the Banff/Citadel Theatre Professional Training Program and fills the whole auditorium with her strength and power.

PHANTOM still the reigning champion as the longest-running production on Broadway after 30 phenomenal years, with no end in sight. So I highly advise you to put this on your Summer bucket list and be part of something spectacular! Find ticket information below!
