There is a lot of talk going around that Santa had 10 reindeers! Do you believe that? When growing up, I only ever knew that Santa had 8 true reindeers.
That being said, they were Dasher (1), Dancer (2), Prancer (3), and Vixen (4). Comet (5), Cupid (6), Donner(7), and Blitzen(8). But now many are actually including Rudolf (9) in to the OG gang, now that he had become famous and all with his own cartoon show and song…lol. But now, they are wanting to include Olive into the bunch as the 10th reindeer. What are your thoughts on that? Do you feel that Rudolf and Olive are part of Santa’s crew, and do you feel there are 8 9 or 10 Santa’s Reindeer.
I mean when we all sing the the classic Christmas songs , we all start with order of Santa’s reindeer…. Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen. Over the years, however, some like to start with Rudolf and I believe he has earned the spot but I am not sure about Olive.
Traditionally, there are eight reindeer (Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen). Rudolph is the ninth addition (made famous by the song about his red nose). And then there’s Olive, the other reindeer, only a cute play on words and a cartoon character.
What are your thoughts…. how many reindeer do you think Santa has?
