I was super excited to get to view my very first Cirque Du Soleil show. My husband and I where thrilled to have a night out to a more mature event!
Cirque was not at all what I was expecting, as you are sitting there under the big top, in a very cozy and intimate setting you already know it is going to be a great show. There literally was not a bad seat in the entire space. You start to see entertainers emerging and engaging with the audience pre-show. As the lights go down and the show begins you feel the excitement in the air, it is a show like no other, you kinda hold your breath with anticipation for the next act. Somehow during those two hours, you seem to engage and connect with them…. I don’t know if it is because you are up so close and personal or because it is so full of passion and emotion but I felt so drawn in, all while providing the nail biting, butterfly in the tummy experience that you may have had when you saw your first circus as a kid, yet this show was geared more towards adults in a more fantasy, mysterious, sensual, even sexy way.
I was surprised to find out how involved the whole show was at providing top rates talent from around the whole world, in fact the performers all come from 22 countries and speak 13 different languages, the band and music was live, the singers where belting out beautifully, and the entertainers tied it all together to bring you a breath-taking piece of visual live art!
