As you tuck away the tequila, it’s time to bring out the whiskey! My husband and I really enjoy whiskey, we like to add it to warm drinks, like coffee and cider we also like to drink it straight for a “warm” end to our evening.

• INGREDIENTS

• • 2 oz. Yellowstone Select
  • ½ oz. Maple Syrup
  • 4 drops of Orange Bitters
  • 4 drops of Mole Bitters

• DIRECTIONS

• • First, add one big ice cube and an orange zest to your favorite camping tin mug. Fill with smoke from a smoking gun and cover the tin. Combine Yellowstone Select, maple syrup, orange bitters, and mole bitters in a mixing glass.
  • Add ice and stir for 30 seconds. Remove lid from the tin and pour cocktail over the smoke as it begins to leave the mug.

 

 

Rebel Yell Bourbon

Made from their time-honored recipe, this whiskey packs a punch with a defiantly smooth body and full flavor. Honey and butter hit the nose. Then, traces of raisin and a warm spice finish kick things up a notch.

HOT BUTTERED REBEL made with Rebel Yell Bourbon

• INGREDIENTS

• • 5 oz. Rebel Yell Kentucky Straight Bourbon
  • 1 cup apple cider, preferably unpasteurized
  • 2 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1⁄8 tsp. ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp. ground ginger
  • Pinch of cayenne
  • 2 cinnamon sticks, for garnish

• DIRECTIONS

• • In a small pot, gently melt butter over medium heat. Add the spices and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Add the apple cider and heat until warm, about 3-4 minutes more.
  • Add the whiskey, stirring well. Pour the warmed buttered whiskey into mugs and garnish each drink with a cinnamon stick.
