Why is yogurt so good for you? Yogurt provides benefits that you can’t really get from many other food sources. Eating yogurt daily is associated with a healthier lifestyle because of the good bacteria. These cultures help keep your digestive system in check and running smooth. These probiotics help with your bowels, and help keep yeast and urinary tract infections at bay.
In a world of trying to produce products quicker, cheaper and more “efficient” we now have GMO food (genetically modified organism). Who wants to eat food that was created in a laboratory using genetic modification/engineering….. NOT me and NOT my family. Dannon is comitted to using only Non-GMO Ingredients and Non-GMO Cow Feed. In fact Dannon is reformulating all products under the Dannon brand by the end of 2017 to be made only with Non-GMO ingredients*. Dannon will also be working with the dairy farmers and the feed suppliers to plan Non-GMO grains in their fields, harvest them, and then feed to the cows the following year. With all that said, Dannon will become the ONLY conventional dairy company in the US to be feeding Non-GMO feed to the cows.

I think my most favorite feel good fact, is the relationship Dannon has with their farmers. When you feed your family Dannon yogurt, you can feel good knowing that from farm to manufacturing, the whole process has love behind it…. love for the cows, love for the farmers, love for their product and love for you, the consumer. And to gain your trust, they are strong believers in providing greater transparency about their main ingredient, “We now source all the milk we use directly from farms we know”. But, they don’t just stop there…. they can “know” any farm… but they go above and beyond, making sure that all of their farms are Validus Certified. The Validus Animal Welfare Review Certification is awarded to farms that follow stringent animal welfare guidelines. Farms that receive animal welfare certification undergo a detailed assessment and audit of their on-farm animal welfare practices. Certification is awarded to farms which demonstrate compliance with the animal welfare criteria and standards established for their operation. If this doesn’t deserve a standing ovation and a round of applause, Then I don’t know what does.
