This last Saturday was full of errands…. dance class, food event and squeezing in a bit of shopping. I decided to pop into Walmart because they have everything, of course! While there, they had a few demo tables set up in the freezer section up with food samples. Since it was lunch time… of course we made a straight line for the food! The kids quickly munched some Quaker Popped and I tried an Udi’s Burrito. While eating, we listen to them talk about the product and ingredients, then my ears perked up when they said… “and everything is gluten free”. I was shocked, many of us think of gluten free being tasteless, dense, flavorless and EXPENSIVE. These items were full of flavor, crunch, lights and surprisingly affordable.
I was surprised by how many name brands are crossing over and offering a gluten free option. Being gluten intolerant is a REAL problem. I find, even if you don’t have a diagnosed condition, choosing to eat gluten free, can make you feel a little better, less bloated and weighted down. It is wonderful that brands and companies are working together to bring consumers products that will help them live a more comfortable lifestyle.

My biggest weakness is pizza, all who know me, know that I could have pizza everyday for the rest of my life but I do have mild discomfort from all the traditional gluten pizzas… with a little bit of bloating and cramps. I noticed from their display that Udi’s has a NEW gluten free uncured pepperoni pizza. This sounded so delicious and I picked one of them up to give it a try this week.
I was so impressed with the selection and prices that Walmart has on their gluten free items , they get it and understand that this is important to a lot of people and they want to provide for their customers. Give Walmart a tried and check them out for all your gluten free needs.

I went to the same event and was surprised at the great selection of gluten-free foods I found at Walmart! I tried several items, but didn’t get a chance to try the Udi’s pizza. It is definitely on the list of one’s to get next time around!

I love all of the gf foods Walmart offers and their prices! It’s neat people were able to taste test some gf before they buy them.

I had the Udi’s grilled cheese that they had sampling and it was SO yummy! I am totally sold on these products and cannot wait to try that pizza.
