Last week, I had the amazing privilege of escaping for a bit to have a nice quiet dinner with my husband. The first place that came to my mind was Red Lobster, we have gone here many times with the kids but have to admit indulging in shrimp and lobster  is best done when you can relax.

We had heard that Lobsterfest was going on and that is a true luxury to be able to enjoy, since we had the night off and the fact that Red Lobster can keep their prices low, we both got to choose a Lobsterfest meal of out choice. Now this year in addition to their annual selections they have added three new menu choices.

Dueling Lobster Tails

A roasted Maine lobster tail topped with tender shrimp in a creamy garlic sauce paired with a golden-baked Maine lobster tail with crab-and-seafood stuffing. Served over mashed potatoes, roasted tomatoes and green beans.

 Ultimate Surf and Turf

A Maine lobster tail baked with crab-and-seafood stuffing paired with a peppercorn-seasoned grilled sirloin topped with Maine lobster meat in a citrus-hollandaise sauce. Served over mashed potatoes, roasted tomatoes and green beans.

 Lobster in Paradise

A split Maine lobster tail fried in our signature coconut batter, spicy grilled shrimp and a lobster-and-shrimp bake topped with toasted crushed macadamia nuts.

We decided to eat out around 7pm and was seated right away, the mood, lighting and service was amazing. If you haven’t visited the Red Lobster in awhile you should give them a go, their customer service has really improved from our previous visits.

As for the food…. it was delicious (and very filling) each Lobsterfest meal comes with your choice of salad and unlimited cheddar bay biscuits.

My husband and I chose the Lobster & Shrimp Linguini Alfredo and the Dueling Lobster Tails. We also got delicious Coconut Prawns as an appetizer because we had a FREE Coupon when you buy 2 Lobster fest meals
