Rent 20th Anniversary Tour Coming Keller Auditorium
Mark your calendars everyone because the Rent 20th Anniversary Tour is booked for Portland coming in January! Keller Auditorium will host this awesome show from January 20th-22 and already the buzz is beginning to build. This show has been rocking audiences since 1996 and now, twenty years later, it is exploding onto our stage here in Portland.
If you have never experienced Rent on stage, you simply have to book this show. Basically it is about seven artists that struggle to live their dreams without selling out. The show makes you laugh, cry, cheer and ultimately….think. If you take a look at the cast and pedigree on this show, it is extremely easy to see why it is so successful.
How many shows win a Pulitzer Prize and a Tony? Turns out only five musicals in history. Jonathan Larson’s broadway show is a rock musical with heart and soul. Evan Ensign will restage everything in keeping with original direction from Michael Greif. Marlies Yearby choreographs this masterpiece.
