These beautiful cookies are made to impress but are oh so easy!!!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups butter, softened

2 cups white sugar

4 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

5 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups butter, softened

2 cups white sugar

4 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

5 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup crushed jolly ranchers

Directions:

Roll out dough as you would for regular cookies. Cut out one large size heart and then cut out a smaller size heart in the center. Bake the cookies at 375 degrees for 6-8 minutes. Bake the cookies for half of the time and then add the crushed jolly ranchers to the center making sure to cover all the space in the middle. Bake for the rest of time and let cool for several minutes to allow for the candy center to harden again. Peel the cookie off of the wax paper and enjoy!

Such a clever idea and so much fun! This would be a great recipe to make with my nieces… they love melting candy. 😉
