WOW, school is out, the heat is rising and my biggest obsession…… is now turning iced, I’m talking about my coffee! Just in time for Summer, Dunkin’ Donuts is kicking it up into high gear and offering not one, but two NEW amazingly delicious drinks. Dunkin’ Donuts’ Coconut Crème Pie flavored iced or hot latte offers a creamy combo of vanilla, coconut and sweet pie crust flavors (this is my new go to favorite).
Additionally, Dunkin’ Donuts’ Caramel Macchiato is a handcrafted, layered espresso beverage made with milk, then topped with a double shot of Dunkin’ Donuts’ rich, freshly-brewed espresso and Caramel, both drinks are available hot or iced.
Today, I chose to get, yet another, iced Coconut Crème Pie Latte… and a donut, of course! I am not sure what it is about coconut but it instantly makes me feel relaxed and tropical. I personally am drawn to anything coconut this time of year, sprays, lotions, food, you name it. But just like other hit seasonal flavors you have to do it right, or it is just one big fail. Dunkin’ Donuts’ did extensive research and worked for months testing to make sure they had THE PERFECT natural and authentic coconut flavor. They wanted this drink to pair perfectly with the sweet, roasted flavor profile of their coffee. By adding a crème flavor, it really rounded out the beverage, giving it a great blend of fresh coconut and creamy vanilla flavor in their classic iced coffee.
