If you have older children, then you have probably heard of the hit app, Dumb Ways To Die. You may have even played it yourself, I know I have…LOTS. It is such a fun challenging game, and a great game to compete with your tweens and teens! Don’t even get me started on the song….. or I will be humming it around all day at work…. believe me, super funny and addictive, but I must admit, it may not be suitable for the youngest members of your family.
Never fear, the creators of the hit app have created Dumb Ways JR Boffo’s Breakfast. This app has been developed for kids aged 3-7 in mind and has included the same humor and safety that we expect and love but on a level perfect for our little ones, meaning there is no blood and no dying!
In Boffo’s Kitchen, you can experiment and do all the “messy” creativity your kids wish they could do in their own kitchen. Have you ever made a cheese, chocolate and fish cake?!?! Well, your kids can and they can see the cause and effect of their creations. When Boffo eats something yummy he gets excited and happy, when you make something icky he shows disgust and I bet you can guess what happens when he eats a whole chili pepper….haha! Of course, my son always wants to make the grossest thing possible….. you know, like sprinkles on eggs….yuck! And, with over 20 ingredients, their masterpiece combinations are endless!
They have also includes subtle cause and effect safety features…. like, if you turn on the mixer too high, it will splatter everywhere and if you turn the stove up too high, your food will burn… perfect for this targeted age group. Boffo will also interact with you child and give them clues with facial expression. It teaches your child to learn to be intuitive to peoples thoughts and feelings through expression. Boffo shows happy, excited, proud, concern, worry, fear, and disgust.
This app is also full of fine motor skills and hand eye coordination….you will actually chop, shred, stir and in the end, feed Boffo!
One of my favorite sections they offer is, on all of their JR apps, they have a special parent section that will give you special instructions, tip, and key notes to talk with your children about safety and cause and effect.

This is a wonderful time to fall in love with all of the Dumb Ways to Die characters because not only is there a new app Dumb Ways JR Boffo’s Breakfast, there is one Dumb Ways JR Loopy’s Train Set as well! While Boffo is making mischief and fun in the kitchen, Loopy is trying his best to not get in trouble on the train.
