When we talk organic… most people instantly think of food. Whether it is produce, meat or dairy… we need to think beyond just what we eat….there is so much more to the organic thought. My son is allergic to artificial food colors and it has a serious behavioral effect on him. Of course you can find artificial colors in food, candy and drinks but most give little thought to other products that we come into contact with that can be harmful to him. Did you know that your skin is your largest organ, and that everything you use on you skin will have the same effect as if you ingested it? This means that colored soap, shampoo, lotion, or sunblock can cause him a reaction. Same goes for cough syrup, medication and vitamins.
This is why I am looking for more ways to go organic. Below are a few items that have been brought to my attention that I recommend you look for at your local store.

- Organic Valley: My kids were very impress with this new yogurt! The consistency is very unique, much thicker and more natural. - MegaFood: I was provided a nice assortment of natural supplements. I think I am most thrilled to try the Turmeric. I have heard amazing things. It is known to work wonders on swelling and inflammation. - Goddess Garden Organic: I was a big fan of these before they asked me to feature these. These fresh clean product are free from dye, fragrances and colors, all of which is important to me and my family. The Sunscreen is my favorite product and is the one that I never let run out. Because of my son’s sensitivities, it is important to me that whatever I put on his skin is safe.
